Chatterbox Cafe

Chatter Box ins't a new tenant. They have a lot of branches already.
As they're part of MAP group, it's not weird they could grow fast, I guess.
Chatter Box is like a cafe, provides simple urban food. I think they don't have signature dish. All their dishes are just common dish that may found anywhere.

Prawn Laksa (55K). For me, this is the best dish of theirs. Tasted not too spicy, but it's more like savory. Rich laksa gravy and 3 big prawns were my favorite. Hah!
They also put some slices of fish cake and bean sprouts in it.

Spaghetti bolognaise (20K). As usual, bolognaise always comes up with tomato sauce and minced beef. The difference here was they cooked them separately.
Anyway, the tomato sauce was a bit sour, which became very nice when put together with the savory minced beef. The pasta itself also al dante. Not too soft, yet not too hard.
As addition, they gave a slice of garlic bread, which just okay to me.

Chatter Box Fried Hainan Chicken Rice (43K). I don't know why they called it fried hainan chicken rice, while the rice wasn't even fried.
Well, the rice was just okay for a hainanese rice. Pakcoy (that green vegetables) was okay, coked into right softness. Chicken was okay. Not really outstanding.

Honeydew Sago (22K). Shaved ice, with melon, jelly, buah atep, selasih, and something I don;t know. hahaha. Tasted pretty refreshing, but I was wishing for something more than this actually.

Overall, the service given was quiet nice. The waiter/ess were kind and helpful. Ambience was also pretty comfortable, not too noisy.

Average food. Average service. Decent prices. If you're not too fussy about the food, it's an OK place to go to when you want to mainly be able to chat with friends in a comfortable environment. Es delima was not very nice because they did NOT use fresh santan. Customers were permitted to smoke, when I thought smoking is prohibitted in all public areas.
