Tokio Kitchen

Tokio Kitchen is a hip now.
I went there just right after they first opened, but I forgot I haven't posted it yet. :p
Tokio kitchen. Offer us sensation of Japanese food street. WHere we can order our dishes directly to the stall and get them served on our table later. When i came by, it was very very very crowded. Maybe because it was weekend.hihi
Oh btw, since its been ages, I had thrown away the bill, so I don't remember the name of the dishes and its price. Please understand. Lol

Onigiri. Just ordinary dishes. The prawn was fresh. Ah nothing special about it lah.

Katsu Burger! It costed me about 30K, and I thought that's worth it. I liked it. Even burger is only an ordinary dish, but from all the dishes I tried here, this one was the second best. The deep fried chicken was juicy and a bit salty. The bun was nice. Not too much lettuce and tomato. A slice of cheese which half-melted. French fries was crunchy and salty. Bunch of loves!

Takoyaki. Not recommended. Too mushy and I couldn't taste the squid. Tasteless and ...... well, not recommended.

Ah I forgot. It's kind of deep fried meatballs. Costed me about 30K. And this one was the best of all. The meat was juicy, tasteful, savory, and everything just perfect. The question is, does 30K worth 4 meatballs? :)

Okonomiyaki. It's definitely takoyaki's friend. They have many things in common, and this time, including taste. I don't like it. Gaaah!

It's supposed to be grilled chicken skin or something like that. Tasteless. Plain. Even have no grilled-fragrance. Blah.

Beef tounge. This one was much better. Not too tough, and tasted sweet with grilled-smell which i like. :D

Errr.. forgot this one. But i'm sure it was a fish, and smelled fishy. Sorry, I can't stand of negative smell. Yaiks!

Banan SPlit. This one pretty nice. The banana wasn't too mature and yet not too rare. nice texture, it was

Waffle. Just okay. Not recommended but still edible. The waffle was just so so. Small portion. Well, chocolate ice cream would never be wrong to me. :p

They called it rainbow something. I forgot.hahaha. But this one was pretty refreshing! You may see it from how it looks like. Slurp! :9
It consist of ice, syrup, sweet and dense milk, pineapple, strawberry, melon, and peach.
The only thing wrong about this was the shape. What the h*ll is that?hahahah

This is the cashier. How cuuuuuteee. :D

Sushi Groove

Do not call me Tommy if i could stop munching. wahahaha. This time my heart chose Sushi Groove. Hope it could groove my heart. (blah!)

For appetizing myself, i ordered edamame (9K). How much do you hope in a bowl of edamame? I mean, it's just edamame. It should be salty and that's all. So here it was, salty and soft. I don't need to tell you more about it, do i?:)

Takoyaki (18K). Suprisingly, it was made from potato. Do you know kroket? It's deep fried mashed potato. And this dish was similar with kroket, but the difference is this takoyaki had tako (octopus) inside it. Was it better than the usual one? I guess it wasnot. So sorry. :(

Shinjuku Rol (38K). As I couldn't bear raw food, so my owner didn't eat this. But as i heard her friend said this dish was great. Light. and the salmon wasn't smell fishy.

Tako Idako Roll (35K). The tako wasnot in the roll. So you may eat them together if you want to. For me it's just so so. Not too special. The roll itself was pretty good. Lettuce with kani in the roll, and baby octopus on the top. Oh, the roll was bigger that usual roll.

Krakatau Roll (29K). This one was a deep fried roll with mayo and chilly sauce on top. Yummy? SURE! Inside the roll: kani, cucumber, and others (i forgot. :p)
It was a bit spicy, since there was chilly sauce on it, and a bit crunchy as it was deep fried. A bit heavy as it was mayo, but the chilly sauce really lighten up the taste and give high lite into it. wohoo!

Karaage Cheese Burger Rice. First, I was just about to try new thing I haven't tried before. I didn't hope for something good. But this rice burger was outstanding! Superbig size (for me). Deep fried chicken karaage tasted so well. Well cooked, but too puffy for me, maybe they should make it smaller so we don't have to cut the karaage before eating. The rice was just the same with sushi. Lettuce, onions, tomatoes gave freshness into oily karaage. A perfect balance. I was so full already. huff. :D

Oh the manager was soooooooo nice. He gave us free ogura ice cream! Well, actually it was because their staff made some mistake, but it was okay. And suddenly the manager gave this to us, and I was like 'hore'.hahaha.

Overall, it was good. The price was still affordable, remembering Sushi Groove is one of Ismaya's merchant. And of course the concept was nice; modern Japanese. Dim light and wooden interior are their trademark. I was pretty delighted for the service, but for the taste, I guess they should make a lot of improvement. :p

The Charcoal

The Charcoal has opened since not too long time ago. This is their first outlet. Grand Indonesia.
I've seen it for pretty long time, and I decided to make a visit someday, and here i was. :)

Ishiyaki Bibinba (55K). Don't know what does Ishiyaki means, but i was pretty sure that this was beebimbab, just like korean food that i love. The taste wasn't disappointed me. Prett well. Hot stone, half-cooked egg, and well cooked veggies brought a superb result. Oh they gave me small slices of nori too. I love it. Even the spice wasn't strong enough, but it was very very edible for me. :)

Nabeyaki Udon (78K). Well, i love udon, but this one was too plain for me. Seriously. I guess they need more spice. The broth was just okay (it was prawn broth), the tofu was just fine, the other veggies were just fine, the prawn tempura was poor. It was crunchy at first, but since they put it into the bowl, so it became soft... errrr... too soft i think. A very terrible condition for a tempura. Yaiks!

Sushi Ebi Tan was great! simple sushi roll, tasted a bit sour and fresh. Even my owner's mom loved it. She said this was the best sushi in her life.hahahaha :p

Food Testing Panel (Pasta de Waraku)

Ahoy! I am back with another story of Food Testing Panel (or in my words, free yummy food. :p) from Ismaya. This is time for Pasta de Waraku! wohoooooo!
As the former gathering, I could order everything I want and eat 'till the end of the day.wahahaha. Unfortunately, I still had my limit, so I 'just' ordered these dishes.:D

This is chicken teriyaki twister. Twister is Pasta de Waraku's new dish. It's made from their pizza crust which is so so so so thin and crunchy, and filled with salad and potato puree. In this case, it also contain chicken teriyaki which was sweet, crunchy, tender, and nice! :D
the puree and salad was cold, gave fresh effect into it.
love this a lot. They used fried chicken karaage, mixed it into teriyaki sauce, and poured some sesame. In my opinion, this is the best twister of all.:)

Err.. i forgot what's this. :p
Well, it was a twister, just the same with my former explaination, but i forgot what kind of twister.heheh. So sorryyyyyyyyyyy. :(

Grrrr. Damn! I forgot this one too. :(
But I remembered that this was quiet good.hehe

This is Seafood Soup Pasta. So bad it contained crab meat so I shouldn't eat it. Blame it to my crab meat allergenic! :(

This one is pretty rare. This was Seafood Pasta with Black Ink Sauce. What's the different with another black noodle? The pasta isnot black. The sauce is the one that give black color. So when I ate this, my teeth had a lot of black spot. Oh noooo! But don't worry. The taste was worth the black spot within your teeth. :p
They cooked the pasta really well. The sauce not too taste, but as it made from squid ink, is wasn't smell fishy, and it tasted savory. :)

Kimchi Al' Aglio Olio. I hated kimchi. For me, it tasted too spicy and too sour. I don't i should take my words back or not, because Pasta de Waraku made me love it.wahahaha. This Olio was sooooo gorgeous. Can't you see how good it looks? Can you taste the goodness in it? It taste super well. I guess I'll order it again when I make my next visit here. :)
To gave 'kimchi effect', they put some small cubic cabbage into it. The taste was savory and a bit sour spicy, but the balance in it made me fall in love. :D

Basil Prawn and Tako. I guess i once tried this dish before. It smelled good. The prawn was big enough to made me drooling.ahaha. The pasta was wellcooked and the dish was nice. Thanks to the basil for becoming a hero here. :D

Bacon kimchi Pizza or Kimchi Bacon Pizza. I don't know which one is right.heheh. Well, I loved this too! The bacon was brilliant. Taste so good. Not overcooked yet not raw. The kimchi didn't do lot of work here, but i think it's good for nothing ruin the taste of the bacon. :)

Bulgogi Pizza. I ordered this because in the picture there's a lot of beef there. But when i ordered it, this one came to my table; not as much as in the picture i saw. Well, i tried to accept it, hope the taste would take me higher. To be honest, i didn't. But fortunately, it wasn't too bad, so i took this as still edible thing. :)

This was choco milkshake or cold choco ya? hmm. Damn. I got short term memory. ggrrr. Ah let's go straight int my opinion about this beverage.nyehehe. It was owesome! Maybe because i am a chocolate lover.hehe. But i love chocolate, i love whipped cream. That's why i am this huge. But i don't care as long as i am hapy. wohooo!
