Tenten 2nd Outlet Grand Opening!

Another good news is here! Tenten finally opened their second outlet. Yeiy!
Tenten is one of Boga Group's tenant. After their first outlet (Pondok Indah Mall) succeeded, now they opened their second outlet at Plaza Indonesia (beside Sari Ratu).
Tenten offers Japanese traditional tempura that combined with western style, so it become fusion.

So they invited us (food bloggers) to come on their grand opening, June 20, 2011. Horayyy!
So bad I came late so not too much photos I could share here. Blame it to my owner's work and Jakarta's traffic! >:)
Anyway, big thanks to Tenten and (again) Goorme for the invitation. :D

Tenten Hotdogs - 35K. Hey it's not a common hotdog. You can see, they didn't use sausage. They used minced prawn and shape it into sausage-alike, dressing it with flour (tepung roti) then deep fried. Fresh salad with mayo and kinda Japanese soya sauce. It's about 20 centimeters long. Pretty fulfilling to me. Love this much! :))

Fried Sweet Potato. NYUM! Me likey. Not too sweet. Crunchy outside and soft inside. Very tempting my appetite. :)

Here are the main course. Slurp!
Ebi Tendon- I didn't tried it, my friend, who ordered it, said that it was okay and so fulfilling. I could see from the size, pretty big bowl and it was almost full. Hah!
Yasai Don is good for who doesn't eat meat because it consisted of vegetables only. But for meat lovers, say goodbye to yasai!hahaha.

This is what I ordered. Kakiage hotate & ebi sakura with udon. The udon was so soft and a bit chewy. The fries was so big.haha. It was vegetables and scallop and prawn. As there was only a little scallop and prawn, when eat the vegetables only, it tastes like bakwan sayur. :p
But it was pretty nice though.

Nah, here come the part I love the most. Dessert. Wohoo!
These were mousse. The chocolate mouse with lemon sauce was yummy. Sourness of lemon gave balance to rich chocolate. So do the strawberry sauce with the lemon cheese mouse.

Kakigori is a kind of shaved milk ice. So the ice had already had its taste.
Matcha kakigori was nice. Refreshing. Not too greentea-ish like another matcha thingy. Served with mochi.hihi.
Chocolate kakigori was even better. Not too chocolate-y, but very refreshing and light. These are the essence of dessert, right? Light and refreshing. :)

Oreo parfait was good!! I'm not a vanilla person, but I said this one was okay. :)
Strawberry parfait's look was so tempting to me.hahaha. Unfortunately, I didn't taste it. Sssst. It's somebody else's.

Blackforest Cream Roll was very nice. The cake was moist and soft, and the strawberry jam was a bit sour. Lovely blackforest.
Greentea mousse was good though. :)

Look what I found! The video about Tenten's family. So cuteeee! :))

And there was a photobooth where we could take fun photo. They also printed it for us. So bad I didn't get the soft copy. :

Izzi Pizza

Izzi Pizza is one of famous pizza stall in Jakarta. So, not awkward if I wanted to try it. Well, I once tried it, but forgot already how did it taste.lol.
SO here I was. Coming back to the corner where I first saw Izzi Pizza. hahaha
I went to the Menteng one. Since I came at about 11am, the place was still vacant. Some people came not long after I came in.

BBQ Chicken Wings (45K). I can't believe I ordered this. As this was the most expensive appetizer they had, I hoped for something.....err... much better than this. Let me explain more. The BBQ sauce was yucky. Tasted like they put bottled-BBQ-sauce which sold at supermarket. The chicken was horrible. The skin was wet, I bet they boiled it, not fried it. Plus, it tasted like instant-chicken-wing which sold in freeze at supermarket. As conclusion, I can say it was like boiled instant chicken wing with bottled BBQ sauce, and all without being processed. How can they sell something like this?!

I forgot the name, but I'm pretty sure it was large pizza with sausage, beef, and pepperoni as toppings. And it costed me about 115K IDR. Darn! Well, it was much edible than the chicken wings. But the sausages (cut into small pieces) was not good. Maybe the made it homemade or something. Because it tasted different with the ones in supermarket. Now I know why they just use many instant ingredients. Hmm..

I ordered cold chocolate, and guess what came into my face? It's milo. Oh geez. They made me pay 20K IDR just for a small glass of Milo. (The glass was only about 20cm tall and 8cm diameter anyway)
Plus, the Milo was not perfectly melted. There was still some part that unmelted or not well-stired.

To summarize all above, I can say Izzi Pizza needs a lot of improvements.

Satoo

Hey readers! Have you ever feel that the food is never been enough? If you have, I get the answer for you. Its name is buffet. wahahaha.
And this time, my choice went to Satoo. wohoo!
As Satoo is one of an award winning restaurant, it became one of well-known buffet restaurants in Jakarta. Located in Shang-rila Hotel, one of luxurious hotel in Jakarta, it has been popular since long time ago. Satoo has open kitchen concept, where you may see some of the chefs cooking while eating. It provides many kinds mouth-watering of foods, from Indonesian, Chinese, Indian, European, Italian, Japanese, etc.

This was my first batch. I took them from Indian corner. But I don't remember their names.hahaha. Two of them were chickens. They were pretty good anyway. The green fried rice was just okay and tasted a bit plain.heheh. That prata thingy had weird jam. I found citrus smell there, but I didn't know what've made it so yucky. And the front right one, i majorly forgot what's that. But the sauce also weird to me.haha. So, as conclusion, the Indian food was not recommended.

Nah, my second batch was way better. :D
I took them from grill corner or something. Those meats were beef, and they're yummy! :9
The puff was just a bit savory, and it went really well with the meats.hihi.

This was my third batch, and it was.... Indonesian! There was nasi uduk, udang bakar (grilled prawn), mie goreng (fried noodles). Oh, I combined it with Chinese too. I took Bakpau isi telur asin (chinese bun) and those dumplings were great. yeiy! I love the not-dry dumplings. Oh, and those fried beancurd, also pretty yummy, but so bad it was extremely too oily. Huff.

I couldn't wait longer. The desserts was too tempting, so I took all of these. wahaha.
Left- green tea opera cake: very nice. I'm not into green tea, but this time, I'm so into it. :)
Back- chocolate cake: I forgot whether there was the lava or not.hehe. But I remember it was good. The chocolate was rich.
Right & front- I forgot what's that, but they're nice too. I ate them all 'till nothing left on my plate. NYUM!

Cranberries crumble. It was yummy! After all the fulfilling food and sweet teeth, this cranberries crumble was a good choice. It tasted sour and refreshing. The crumble was a bit sweet.

Who doesn't like Chocolate fondue? Sure, I must not pass for it.lol. As I was pretty full already, here's all I got. Oh, there were some choices you may choose to dip to the chocolate. They're strawberry, melon, and marshmallow. :D
