Sushi Groove

Do not call me Tommy if i could stop munching. wahahaha. This time my heart chose Sushi Groove. Hope it could groove my heart. (blah!)

For appetizing myself, i ordered edamame (9K). How much do you hope in a bowl of edamame? I mean, it's just edamame. It should be salty and that's all. So here it was, salty and soft. I don't need to tell you more about it, do i?:)

Takoyaki (18K). Suprisingly, it was made from potato. Do you know kroket? It's deep fried mashed potato. And this dish was similar with kroket, but the difference is this takoyaki had tako (octopus) inside it. Was it better than the usual one? I guess it wasnot. So sorry. :(

Shinjuku Rol (38K). As I couldn't bear raw food, so my owner didn't eat this. But as i heard her friend said this dish was great. Light. and the salmon wasn't smell fishy.

Tako Idako Roll (35K). The tako wasnot in the roll. So you may eat them together if you want to. For me it's just so so. Not too special. The roll itself was pretty good. Lettuce with kani in the roll, and baby octopus on the top. Oh, the roll was bigger that usual roll.

Krakatau Roll (29K). This one was a deep fried roll with mayo and chilly sauce on top. Yummy? SURE! Inside the roll: kani, cucumber, and others (i forgot. :p)
It was a bit spicy, since there was chilly sauce on it, and a bit crunchy as it was deep fried. A bit heavy as it was mayo, but the chilly sauce really lighten up the taste and give high lite into it. wohoo!

Karaage Cheese Burger Rice. First, I was just about to try new thing I haven't tried before. I didn't hope for something good. But this rice burger was outstanding! Superbig size (for me). Deep fried chicken karaage tasted so well. Well cooked, but too puffy for me, maybe they should make it smaller so we don't have to cut the karaage before eating. The rice was just the same with sushi. Lettuce, onions, tomatoes gave freshness into oily karaage. A perfect balance. I was so full already. huff. :D

Oh the manager was soooooooo nice. He gave us free ogura ice cream! Well, actually it was because their staff made some mistake, but it was okay. And suddenly the manager gave this to us, and I was like 'hore'.hahaha.

Overall, it was good. The price was still affordable, remembering Sushi Groove is one of Ismaya's merchant. And of course the concept was nice; modern Japanese. Dim light and wooden interior are their trademark. I was pretty delighted for the service, but for the taste, I guess they should make a lot of improvement. :p
